Let's take control of our immune health.
While you can't control the spread of a virus or the flu, or even the common cold this flu season, you CAN control your immunity and how you enhance it. Taking control of your health and taking steps to build natural immunity will help alleviate anxiety related to the pandemic and help you take steps towards feeling better and more vibrant! I'm a huge fan of Dr. Josh Axe, a doctor who combines western medicine with ancient remedies and a paleo-based diet for the natural and preventative approach to wellness. His article on boosting your immune system naturally is incredibly detailed and actionable. Some items I personally love that help boost my immune system at this time of year:
Organic Echinacea Tea from Traditional Medicinals
Anti bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal Collodial Silver Spray
Zinc, vitamin C, and vitamin D supplements
Suja immunity shots with echinacea, turmeric, lemon juice, and probiotics (can purchase in bulk at Costco)
Bone broth
Infrared saunas
The best boost to your immunity will come through a healthy diet of organic fruits and veggies in a variety of colors, healthy fats like nuts, olives and avocadoes, wild caught fish, and grass fed and grass finished proteins—as well as exercise and movement on a regular basis. All the more reason to make New Year's resolutions a high priority ❤️

Lift your spirits with the most uplifting podcast series I've listened to in 2020.
Tony + Sage Robbins' holiday fireside chats about life in this time and how to maximize your happiness while reducing fear and anger were simply amazing...the advice we all needed right now. The first installment, Find the Blessing, challenges us to find the blessing even in this situation. As reluctant as I naturally am to find the blessing in all of this, I decided Tony was right. I have to say, it's not easy and it doesn't happen overnight...but try writing down a list of 10 specific, small or large blessings that you have right now because of the situation we're in. Do this every day for a week and see what happens to your mood and your life! Remember that what you focus on you get more of.

READ THIS BOOK: The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck
Over the holidays, I read The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck by Mark Mansonand looooved it. It changed my whole perspective. It's especially relevant right now because it's all about dealing with adversity while keeping your focus.
“Everything worthwhile in life is won through surmounting the associated negative experience. Any attempt to escape the negative, to avoid it or quash it or silence it, only backfires. The avoidance of suffering is a form of suffering. The avoidance of struggle is a struggle. The denial of failure is a failure. Hiding what is shameful is itself a form of shame.
Pain is an inextricable thread in the fabric of life, and to tear it out is not only impossible, but destructive: attempting to tear it out unravels everything else with it. To try to avoid pain is to give too many fucks about pain. In contrast, if you’re able to not give a fuck about the pain, you become unstoppable." - Mark Manson, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck
It sounds harsh, but trust me this book will set you free in a lot of ways, and it reads like a novel because the author, Mark Manson, draws on a ton of personal experience which he shares with the reader. I highly recommend checking it out as your next read to substitute the time you would spend on social media or the news.
